Peak Johnson happenings…

This page was going to be worked on last until word about this site had spread. But since some people are viewing it and have some minor questions I thought that now would be the perfect time to publish this baby.  This page will serve as a kind of newsflash page as to what I am up to, will be up to, or where you can find me in the coming weeks. I just got a bike not too long ago, so you might see me in a couple of places.

So it was mentioned in my about page that I am a Great Expectations blogger. This is true and if you want to learn more about Great Expectations please go to www.greatexpectation07.com If you want to check out my past and present blog entries, thanks to Ms. Jodie (She helps with great expectations) you can view them individually below.

A City That Works
Last December I had the priviledge of being interviewed by Kia Gregory of the Philadelphia Weekly. She has recently moved over to the Philadelphia Inquirer. When opening up the page on the day this issue came out I had no idea that the article would revolve around me. I had assumed that it would include others who also had troubles with getting into school. Nevertheless it is pretty cool and I can remember a friend of mine screaming when she saw it. I love the title of the article too, Ms. Kia rocks!
Peak Performance.

Last year I helped write with a few teens from the HLC, a mayoral guide. Together with Ms. Sue Badeu (Executive Director of the Children’s Commission) and Mr. Ben Lowe (Journalist, Editor, and Instructor) we were able to interview some of the running candidates. Those candidates include Maryor Michael Nutter, Al Taubenberger, and Tom Knox. It was fun and I wouldn’t mind doing it again.
